Julianna 8 Weeks Old!

Welcome to our new website. I think this is going to work out better. It's easier for me to just write a little something every day or so and post a couple pictures. Of course you can still check out all the pictures I have been taking through the years. Just click on the Picasa albums on the right hand side of the page and it will take you to all the albums.

Julianna was 8 weeks old yesterday. I have been loading pictures onto this new website and noticed I had taken TONS of pictures of Jake by the time he was 8 weeks. So I figured I needed to get on the ball with Julianna. So we had a photo shoot outside tonight in front of our azaleas. We took a few pictures inside too. Jake wanted to sit next to Julianna and get his picture taken. It was great. So I finally have a picture with both of them in it! Only took 8 weeks.

Jake Meets Thomas

Brian and I took Jake and Julianna to Chattanooga on Sunday to see Thomas. If you don't know who Thomas is you must not have a little boy. Jake loves Thomas and all of his friends. So Brian thought it would be a great idea to go for a ride on Thomas the train.

We had such a great time. Jake played on a bouncy house, saw a petting zoo (he did not want to go in) and got to ride on a real train with Brian. They had pictures of some of the characters and Jake told us each train's name...as if we didn't already know. Thankfully Julianna slept pretty much the entire time so we just wheeled her around in our new fancy double stroller and she was happy.

When it was time to go, of course, Jake had to say bye bye to everyone. So you will see lots of pictures saying "bye bye." It was a wonderful day of family time. What a great idea by Brian!

Spring is Here

Hi there.

I meant to post this last week but I got sidetracked...don't know how that happened. We have all been loving the spring weather. We have visited the park and Jake loves to play outside with Brian. They even planted some flowers this weekend.

Julianna has been getting bigger and bigger. She is 6 weeks old now. She is sleeping much better. She wakes up just once a night to eat and then goes right back to sleep. So I am very thankful for that.

Jake has slowly become more interested in his little sister. He says her name every time he sees her and tries to get her car seat when we are getting read to go. He is very sweet. The other day he asked to hold her. So we got all ready on the couch and I held her out to him and he ran away. Oh well. Eventually we will get a picture with them together.

Tuesday we went to the Auburn Alunmi event here in Atlanta. It was tons of fun! Jake got to see the eagle and Aubie. Aubie was a little scary for Jake so he just got a high 5. They also had a bouncy house with a slide. So needless to say we spent a lot of time watching Jake go down the slide. The event definitely got us excited for football season!

Have a great weekend! We are traveling to Chattanooga to ride Thomas the train. Should be lots of fun!

Happy Easter

Hope you all have a wonderful Easter holiday.

Julianna was one month old on Saturday. Time is already flying by. We went to the doctor and she had gained two pounds in about three weeks. She has just been growing and growing. Jake still doesn't pay much attention to her except when she cries, he tells me she needs a passie. It's very cute.

We have been busy bees lately. Colin came over for a quick playdate on Friday so his big brother could go see Curious George. Jake loved chasing him around our house. They played so well together. Jake was sad when they left but we got to see Colin and Brendan the next day at the Easter egg hunt.

Our church had their annual egg hunt and it was lots of fun. It was crazy with kids running everywhere so you had to be quick to get the eggs. Jake picked up a few eggs but was really more interested in eating his cookies and running around the park after Brendan.

That afternoon we got to go to Matty's birthday party. He had a train set up and Jake loved it! He had a great time playing with all of his friends and helping Matty celebrate turning 2.

Sunday morning Jake woke up and found the Easter bunny had dropped off a basket full of goodies. He was very excited to get presents...he is VERY into presents these days. He had a great time going through his basket and Julianna's as well. Then we were off to church in our Sunday best. Of course I forgot to take pictures of them in the Easter outfits but oh well.

Hope you all have a great week. Check back soon for more pictures.
