Ready Set...
Not quite yet. Julianna has gotten up on all fours. She rocks back and forth but she hasn't quite figured out how to move forward. I suspect it won't be long until we have a crawler on our hands.

Jake's First Day of School
It was a big day for us today. Jake started preschool. He is in the 2 year old Bunny class at our church on Mondays and Thursdays. Last week Brian and I went to orientation and I took Jake meet his teachers Ms. Sonya and Ms. Beth. Finally, after talking about school all summer, the big day was upon us. Of course I had to take pictures on the front porch and a few on the way. Jake was so excited about going to school.
Not sure who is more excited Mommy or Jake!
After all the talking and his excitement about going to school we pulled up, his teacher came to the car to get him and he cried. Did not want to go to school. So in he went crying. I came back to pick him up and he was laughing and smiling. He had a great time. Hopefully Thursday there won't be quite so many tears.
I know he is going to have a great year!

The Wiggles
Jake has now been to his first kids show. I took him to see his beloved Wiggles. They sang and danced and Jake had tons of fun. I never thought he would sit through the entire show but he continues to amaze me. At the beginning of the show a lady came out and gave and introduction. Jake sits up and yells "Wiggles where are you?" He got a few chuckles from those around us. He knew all of the characters and their instruments, and he knew the movements too. Before the show I bought Jake a t-shirt. He carried it around for a while and then had to wear it. At bedtime he cried for his Wiggle shirt. I think he had a good time and maybe we will see the Wiggle again next year.

Girls Weekend
I mentioned that I went up to Highlands, North Carolina last weekend for a girls weekend with my friends Leslie and Layce. We had such fun but I didn't take my camera (thinking my husband would need it for his weekend of fun with the kids...silly me). Luckily Leslie took a few shots and I thought I should put them up on my blog.
We had a great dinner Friday night and spent most of Saturday at the spa. It was heavenly! When we weren't eating or being pampered we sat around Leslie's wonderful mountain house. We talked, watched a movie, read books just lazy things none of us really get to do anymore. We might have to plan a weekend away again...sooner rather than later!

Julianna is 5 Month Old
Yesterday Julianna was 5 months old. I know I say it all the time but time flies! She started the Mommy's Morning Out program at the church around the corner. Jake and I took her in, she was fine, I was fine...Jake wailed. He must have asked "where's Julianna" about 50 times. I guess he missed his sister. Jake will start preschool at our church in a couple weeks. I know he will have a blast learning and playing.
Julianna is starting to sit up. She needs a lot of help but is getting there. She is still a great little sleeper and loves to smile. She loves attention. Brian's family came last weekend and evidently she put on quite the show. Laughing and smiling at everyone. I wasn't here. My wonderful husband kept the kids while I had a girls spa weekend up in mountains. It was fabulous but I sure did miss my family!
