My baby is crawling! She is on the move, life will never be the same. Thursday she finally figured out how to get from her tummy to a sitting position. She was very proud of herself. Then Friday she decided she was going to get a toy and off she went.
The past couple weeks have been crazy. I volunteered to be on the Kindermart (a consignment sale) committee at Jake's preschool. Which meant I had to pretty much be at the church for an entire week. I felt so bad putting my kids in the nursery all week but when I saw a great big slide come through the doors to sell I knew it was going home with me! Their reward for being so sweet all week to a very tired Mommy. Jake loves it. And its just starting to cool down (meaning mid 80's) so he can play outside.
Yesterday was my birthday and my wonderful husband took it upon himself to get a babysitter so we could go to dinner and a movie. We saw The Town and it was awesome! I highly recommend it.
Today of course is game day and I got the kids dressed in their Auburn gear to take some pictures. Hopefully we can beat South Carolina! War Eagle!

Nana, Papa and Granny Visit Atlanta
This weekend Nana, Papa and Granny McNeely came to Atlanta for a visit. Brian and I hosted a shower and they were nice enough to come to babysit Jake and Julianna. It was a great weekend. Jake loves to do puzzles and everyone has now seen him work all the puzzles in the house at least 5 times! He enjoys showing off his puzzle abilities.
Julianna was a sweet girl all weekend. Brian's mom and I took her shopping and she just smiled and laughed at people, 6 months old she already likes shopping!
A very fun weekend, come back soon!

A Visit From Grandma and Poppy
My parents came to Atlanta for the Labor Day weekend. It was definitely a busy weekend. We watched some football and went swimming. Brian cooked a ton of recipes he learned in cooking class. We also visited the Children's Museum and took a walk in Centennial Park. It was a great weekend and everyone had lots of fun!
Trying new things...
Everyone around the McNeely house is trying new things. Brian took a cooking class last weekend and decided he really needs to take more (fine by me!). Jake has figured out he likes peanut butter. Yes, I have tried to get him to eat PB&J but he refuses. Saturday I was munching on some peanut butter and crackers and he decided to get a spoon a try it out...it was a hit. Jake said he "lobes" it!
Julianna got to try solid foods this weekend. I started her off with some peas. Not sure how much she actually ate but we all enjoyed the show. Next up is carrots.
Once I found out I was going to have a little girl I knew I needed to learn to sew. I have sewn a few things like curtains and a pillow but nothing difficult. Since my parents were in town I asked my mom to help me start making some dresses for Julianna. She helped LOTS with the first one but this dress I pretty much did on my own (under her supervision). I have visions of all the dresses, overalls, skirts and accessories to come.

6 Months Old!
Our sweet Julianna is 6 months old. I can't believe its been 6 months since I first held her in my arms. She is a truly a blessing to us all...yes even Jake likes her most of the time.
We went to the doctor on Friday and she is perfect. 95th percentile for height and 75th for weight. She is sitting up and has assumed the crawling position just hasn't figured it out yet. We start her on solid foods this weekend, yummy peas! Can't wait!
