Disney Day 5

Our last day!  We decided to go back to Hollywood Studios to ride you know what!  Toy Story Mania of course!  Once again we headed straight there and only waited 10 minutes.

We rode a few more rides and the girls watched the Little Mermaid show again.  We walked around and shopped for souvenirs.  We gave Minnie Mouse a quick hug goodbye.

And said so long to Disney World.  It was a wonderful trip, but now I need a vacation!

Disney Day 4

It was back to the Magic Kingdom for Day 4 but first we had breakfast with Chef Mickey!  Once again Julianna was tough to get moving...

But once we were seated and Goofy popped out she perked up.  We got to meet all the main characters and eat some yummy food before we headed to Magic Kingdom for a long day.

Once again I had a plan all mapped out and thank goodness I did!  We headed straight back to the new Fantasyland to do the Enchanted Tales with Belle. I loved it!  I must say Beauty and the Beast is my absolute favorite Disney movie!  But they did a wonderful job of having a story time with Belle and the kids get to play a part.  Jake said no but you know Julianna was raising her hand ready to participate!  She was assigned to hop, hop, hop like Chip.  She did a great job and got to get a picture with Belle at the end.  Very special!

When we walked out the line was 45 minutes!  Yikes!  Throughout the day the park got more and more crowded but we enjoyed ourselves. Julianna even took a little snooze in the stroller.   We watched a parade and road Big Thunder Mountain then it was time for Julianna and I to have dinner with the princesses in Cinderella's Castle.  She got all dressed up in her Cinderella costume.  She gother little moment with Cinderella and they compared dresses.  As we were heading up the red carpet stairs she said "Mommy Cinderella looks pretty just like me."

We ate dinner...and let me tell you she was hungry!  She ate pizza, grapes, cheese, tried my shrimp and grits, beef tenderloin, dessert and had a cup of ice cream.  Then the princesses started coming out.  First Snow White, Princess Aurora, Ariel and Jasmine.  She loved every minute and showed each princess her pretty necklace Daddy bought for her.

After dinner we found Jake and Daddy for the light parade.  It was really neat and they actually put a show on the castle.  It was amazing!  After that waited for the fireworks.  Jake was so worn out he fell asleep in the stroller.  Obviously it was a fun filled day!

Disney Day 3

Friday we spent the day at Hollywood Studios.  If you know Jake then you know he LOVES Toy Story.  Before we left he looked at maps and read all about the characters and rides.  So he knew Hollywood Studios is where he would find Toy Story Mania.

Now I am all about a plan and a little research into Disney will tell you to have a plan!  Toy Story Mania is the most popular ride and has long waits.  So we bee-lined to the ride and got on in 10 minutes and got a fast pass to ride later.  I will say even Brian and I really enjoyed this ride and looked forward to riding it again...and again...and again.

We spent the morning seeing more characters, saw some shows and rode some rides.  Brian scheduled a character lunch at Hollywood & Vine.  Jake and Julianna were very excited to see some of their favorites from Disney Junior.  This meal was even more fun because every 10 minutes the characters get up front and sing and dance.  Now you know Julianna did not miss any opportunity to entertain!  She was adorable!

After lunch we saw more characters, got yet another ice cream snack and settled in for the laser light show...which of course meant the needed light sabers!  Perfect end to another great day!

Disney Day 2

Day 2 was Thursday.  I had to get up at 5:30. I was not a happy camper.  Julianna and I are NOT morning people.  Jake and Daddy pop right up ready for the day.  It's annoying.  But we had to get moving because we had a sunrise safari to attend at the Animal Kingdom.  This was definitely one of Brian's good calls!  We got a backlot tour of the Animal Kingdom.  The 20 minute safari the park offers was turned into an hour and a half guided tour.

Yes, we were seriously that close to the animals.  It was awesome that the kids could really see them.  after our tour we had a wonderful brunch and we were off to explore the park.  We saw a neat Nemo show, Bug show, rode a roller coaster, played in the playground and, of course, met more characters!

After lunch we hopped over to Epcot.  We didn't get to spend a ton of time here but managed to do most of the things we wanted to do.

Julianna and I stood in line for 3 different princesses.  Each time she met a princess she declared her her favorite.  But I think today it was Snow White.  She was thrilled to see her and got the biggest smile on her face when it was finally her turn.

While we waited the boys went off to ride the Test Track.  Jake loved it and thanks to the rider swap I got to ride it with him without waiting.  As we were getting on he said "don't worry Mommy if you get scared I will be right next to you."  What a sweetheart!

Disney Day 1

So we are back from our 6 day adventure at Disney World.  I decided to write about each day because there is just sooo much to talk about.  First of all I want to give a big thank you to Nana and Papa Chuck for taking care of our Grace so we could focus on the big kids while at Disney.  I honestly have no idea what we would have done with 3 kids!  So thank you and I know Grace had lots of fun!  Also Brian planned the entire trip and it couldn't have been better so thanks to Daddy for our great vacation...excuse me TRIP because as you read on you will figure out this was no vacation!

We got to our fabulous hotel, The Animal Kingdom Lodge on Tuesday night.  The kids were very excited to find they had bunk beds and giraffes in the backyard.  We had a wonderful savannah view with animals grazing every morning.

We got up Wednesday morning and off to the Magic Kingdom we went.  Jake and Julianna were so excited!  Julianna was especially excited to see Cinderella's castle.  We walked through it and rode the carousel first.  While we are riding who should walk up but Mary Poppins.  We hopped off the ride and snagged an autograph (thus starting the autograph collection...which really means standing in line for a photo op with every character they know).  Jake told her he liked her movie and she asked his favorite part.  He said "when you sing Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious of course."  Then Julianna started singing and she can't say it so she says supercalifragi-how-it-goes.  Hilarious!

Then we were off to ride Dumbo, and drove cars (I rode with Julianna and she drove...talk about stomach turning...she hit the rail every chance she got).  Next up was the Buzz Lightyear ride which was a fine until Julianna realized she could spin the car around...ugh.  But when we came out who should be waiting for us, Buzz Lightyear!

They both got really into getting the autographs so we saw Mickey Mouse and then Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and Rapunzel.  Julianna was so excited to see Rapunzel she kept running in front of her and waving.  Then we went back to the Dumbo ride and took a train ride around the park.  Saw more characters and then it was time for our first character dinner with Winnie the Pooh and his friends.  So one by one they visit your table and take pictures.  Very cute and lots of fun for the kids.

Grace is 9 months old

Grace had her 9 month check up today.  She weighed in at 21 pounds 9 ounces and is 29 inches long.  She is definitely a chunky monkey but a super cute one!  Her newest accomplishment is pulling up.  She is very excited and proud to smack the tops of tables with her chubby hands!

Pretty soon she will be scooting around the furniture and before I know it my baby will be walking.  Time just flies.  She is such a wonderful little girl.  Peekaboo is a new favorite too.  She puts her little hands in front of her eyes and she smiles so big when she pulls them down.  She is also starting to give up the baby food and move on to "real" food.  Aunt Carla brought some cheese puffs for Logan and she gobbled those up.  Now she loves the yogurt melts.  We will see how she likes peas and carrots tonight.  Sounds like a big mess to me but oh well, she will have fun throwing peas and watching them roll under tables and chairs.

Look at that smile!  So sweet with her third tooth coming in at the top.  Love her!
