Happy Easter

Hope you all have a wonderful Easter holiday.

Julianna was one month old on Saturday. Time is already flying by. We went to the doctor and she had gained two pounds in about three weeks. She has just been growing and growing. Jake still doesn't pay much attention to her except when she cries, he tells me she needs a passie. It's very cute.

We have been busy bees lately. Colin came over for a quick playdate on Friday so his big brother could go see Curious George. Jake loved chasing him around our house. They played so well together. Jake was sad when they left but we got to see Colin and Brendan the next day at the Easter egg hunt.

Our church had their annual egg hunt and it was lots of fun. It was crazy with kids running everywhere so you had to be quick to get the eggs. Jake picked up a few eggs but was really more interested in eating his cookies and running around the park after Brendan.

That afternoon we got to go to Matty's birthday party. He had a train set up and Jake loved it! He had a great time playing with all of his friends and helping Matty celebrate turning 2.

Sunday morning Jake woke up and found the Easter bunny had dropped off a basket full of goodies. He was very excited to get presents...he is VERY into presents these days. He had a great time going through his basket and Julianna's as well. Then we were off to church in our Sunday best. Of course I forgot to take pictures of them in the Easter outfits but oh well.

Hope you all have a great week. Check back soon for more pictures.

Julianna is Here!

Well Julianna Marie McNeely is finally here. She came on Wednesday, March 3rd at 2:43 am. Just 1 hour and 19 minutes after we arrived at the hospital. It all happened very fast (and without drugs I might add). Brian didn't even have time to get the camera out until it was all over.

My mom came and stayed with us for the first week. She was such a big help! Of course she had to leave eventually and I was alone with two kids. Yikes! I haven't had the guts to take both of them anywhere by myself yet. But Julianna and I have ventured out a few times. We went went shopping with my mom one day last week and she did great. I must say shopping for a little girl is much more fun! Everything is so cute and colorful.

Jake has been such a good big brother. He brings me diapers and pacifiers but he doesn't get to close to "Ju-anna" yet. Today he tried to pick up her car seat and take her to the car, what a big helper he is! He also likes to tell me when she is crying...yeah, we all hear it Jake!

I will try to be better about posting new pictures. Sorry it took so long to get these first pictures up but hey I have TWO kids now. Have a wonderful week and a Happy St. Patrick's Day!

More Snow

Hi!

Last weekend it snowed again in Atlanta. Jake and I waited all day and finally at about 3:00 it started and went on for hours. We ended up with almost 4 inches of snow...which is unheard of around here! When Jake woke up from his nap I went into get him and he was lying on his bed staring out the window. I walked in and he said "snow Mommy."

So we got bundled up and went outside to play. It lasted a few minutes but when Daddy got home that was when the fun started. Jake loved to be hit with snowballs. He just laughed and laughed. It was wonderful. Brian tried to get him to make snow angels but Jake was not into it!

It was so nice to see snow again! It was a beautiful winter wonderland!

Jake's 2nd Birthday Party

This weekend we celebrated Jake's 2nd birthday. I know his actual birthday isn't until the 23rd but we decided to have the party a little early since I am due March 1st. Anna and Joe brought John Payne on Thursday so the cousins got to play together for 2 whole days. Our house sure was wild but we had such a good time. They wore each other out which was great!

My parents flew in on Saturday and it was time to party. Lots of people came over and there were kids everywhere. Balls were flying, kids were running around. Needless to say Jake had a ball. He loves to have friends over to entertain.

Grandma and Poppy stayed until Monday so we all watched the Superbowl together Sunday night. Jake was definitely more interested in his puzzles. He was constantly bringing them to Grandma to help put together. It was a great weekend and Brian and I are so blessed to have Jake. Thank you to everyone who came and helped celebrate our baby's 2nd birthday. I can't believe he is going to be two. How did that happen?

Random Pictures and a Little Snow

I hope you are all staying warm this winter. After Christmas, Brian and I decided to buy a new camera with all the bells and whistles. Although I haven't quite figured out all those bells and whistles I have been taking lots of pictures of Jake. He just ignores me so there aren't so many of him actually looking at the camera.

New Years Eve some of Jake's friend came over with their parents. We had a great time with the Fingers and the Brownings. I think the boys had a ball playing with all of Jake's new toys. He loves to have his friends over for playdates.

The latest big news is that he has moved into his big boy room. We were so nervous about having lots of sleepless nights but the transition has been seamless. He LOVES his new room and his bed. I don't think he misses his crib one bit, which is good because pretty soon (in about 6 weeks) that crib will have his baby sister in it.

Last week we had some snow and I thought I should at least let him run around in it. He was not very impressed. He basically walked around the house and went back inside. Too cold for him I guess. But there are a few pictures.

Have a great week!
